hi again!

haha i realized my blog is on a weekly basis.. cos only home once a week.. sounds SAD rite??

i feel so out of touch from the world.., my family and friends..

the only hangout for me durin weekend is my house's market, IMM and then stuck at home to chat my parents and sleep. i really wan to spend more time with them. i can feel that they miss me alot.. haha EMO liao.. so long nv go town le for window shopping.

lol.. i haben been followin up with the latest songs, artisites, movies and news.. they are like aliens to me when i saw posters or publication of them in the shoppin mall which is IMM and only IMM cos i stay near there. time is precious to me la.. dun wanna waste time on transport.

life isnt good for me now.. i miss hanging out with friends with the luxurious time i had in the past. the freedom and time i need to sacrifice. time might be able to tell me whether all these were worthwhile, as i also seriously need motivation like my peers do.

Maybe one of the things that i hav learnt after all these while is" never take things for granted, treasure the people around you." i wish they know i still care! HAIZ.... gt to book in again.

Wah spent 3 weeks in ocs..

first time back home.. i was like spending all my time at home sleeping.. cos nt enough sleep everyday!!

haha made many new friends, got a new perspective of being an officer.. hey i hope to be able to carry on this career, though its like full of obstacles and struggles.. i need to sacrifice time with family and friends.. and no more shopping spree cos weekend are really precious to me now.

i actually got a taste in jumping from 5m platform into the swimming pool... damn scary loh. and also navigate in the dark in the forest.

its ok cos i know i got a 10m to jump soon.. so no choice jus got to jump...

its tough being in navy.. i really miss army days now...

First day in OCS

Ai Yo..First day in OCS and i actually fall down during a run..

haha... probably i ate too much during the block leave and now too clumsy to run..

the way i fall is quite unique.. i nearly sprained my ankle, and at the same time while i was going to fall on my knees, i actually got the time to turn my body around and land on my butt.

haha smart huh... so i wont have injuries on my knees.

Great!!! i was busily viewing the scenery at that moment...thats why... ( the magnificient bridge that links ocs to pasa laba camp..)

somemore we ladies have to march in court shoes.. arghzzz please kill me!! the court shoes are causing us so much pain and blisters.. i really cannot march in them.. i wan my BOOTS back!

POP loh!!

It would probably be too far-fetched to say that BMT changed my life, but, mould me it did. I looked back and asked – would it still be the same without going through BMT? There is a saying that struggle is an opportunity and for me, that can’t be any truer than through my experience in BMT. And I can safely say without a doubt that BMT was definitely a milestone in my life that brought me where I am now and what I am doing.

now i thought back what i did.. everything from field camp, live range, hand grenade, soc, bcct, bict, route march and all the run we did everyday.. for the past 9 weeks. everything seemed to end so fast, maybe becos we are always rushing here and there.. i still remember the guys keep asking us why we wan to sign on.. they wil say"" see la.. now u regret alr??" at first i thought so, i actually regret signing on.. sometimes it's really tough for the ladies. especially physical wise.

i can feel that i hav got muscle for my thighs and i have become quite tanned.

but gg ocs... it wil be many many times worse than bmt. so good luck to me.

argh i stil got 24km to go this week before POP..

Field camp

i cant imagine i had went through the field camp. is rather tough with nt enough sleep and the alot of half left down.

totally shagged for everything. haha

everynight i sleep like a pig, the place that i slept in or on... dont matter

my body full of mud.. dont matter

ants and mozzie bite..dont matter

well, i looked like a madwoman most of the time.. dont matter also...

i stil have SOC to clear... still left one obstacle i cant do it... low rope.. I MUS do it!!

and the 16 km and 24km route march.. Argh!! v shagged sia. jus wish i gt longer legs..

i m the smelly recruit..lol...The platoon smells bad..

cant imagine wats gonna be the smell for field camp.. cant bathe for 6 days.!!

sometimes i walk past those FR OTHER COMPANY who had returned fr field camp.. the smell is terrible, mixture of camou cream, sweat, mud....etc

anyway.. next week wil be my turn.. yucks..! hopefully my bad smell can chase away insect bites and other weird creatures in the jungle.

First book out Day

wow 2 weeks in Tekong

got abit of cultural shock there.. suddenly too many guys.. and i need to march more than i walk. HAHA..

BUT IT was fun.. cos too many funny things happen..trainin is real tough there too. and hardly got enough rest. i slept almost 12 hours after book out..

and i sweat like hell.. everyday gt to run. i HATE running.. preferred route march but got alot of blisters on my feet after that, i really hope somebody can invent a light weight boot for the soldiers..

the guys stinked.. dun like to stand near them..

everyday got to keep the ZZzz monster (sleep) away and the Oucch monster (pain)away.

Throw Bowl..

the last time i went for bowling was like 5 years ago? haha during poly time..

went bowling with Meizhen, I ling, Zhiwei and Ivan..

I ling , zhiwei and ivan-they got the style when they bowl, i can see.. haha.. i like mei zhen's one, slow and steady,and i was practically throwing the ball.. Phiang!! heng nobody throw the ball like i did, last time LOL! my fwens was like saying as if i were throwing shot put..

Bowling was quite boring, hAha preferred ktv.. i can broke record for gg ktv for so many times in a mth period. it's was fun lei.. but also broke at the same time.

total of 23 points, a gold but i only gt 2 point for my inclined flexed arm..

some hav to retake the whole test cos of standing board jump.. feel so sianz for them.. they also keep complaining, hav to run the 2.4km again..

can u imagine if BMT, have to run everyday.. EAT AND RUN..
so far i only heard one of the gals, saying that she likes to run.. i can FAINT liao.. haha

Passed interview.. next Napfa test

i hav always been weak for my inclined flexed arm for napfa.. i remember during Poly times.. we only need to hang there with arm's angle nt more than 90 degree.. ok i can do it to pass..

BUT NOW THEY CHANGED.. mus do at least 5 pull up.. OMG.. i went to try and i can only do 3 the most.. and my chin didnt really reach the bar.. so i considered myself ZERO pull up.. FAIL!

For those age below 20 yrs.. they only need 3 pull up to pass.. how come they increase the pull up for older age.. thought everything should be lesser.. SIAN..

but i heard some gals said they passed some pp considering how badly they fail.. OMG can they passed me..?? closed their eyes when i do the inclined flexed arm.. lol..

wait long long... i try to do push up lor.. but time's abit tight u see..

Camp Rainbow 2007

My first time volunteering for Camp Rainbow in singapore sports sch.. btw.. Camp Rainbow is a camp organised for kids with chronic illnesses.. each kid will be assigned to one befriender to take care of them during the camp.. this year unfortunately i cant get a kid.. so i went to be their photographer there.. OMG.

with no professional skills and no professional camera..

anyway, i used their sponsered camera by canon.. well, shall nt comment on the camera.. -_-''

i saw many smiling faces, nice befrienders with their haggard looks after second day of camp.. its not easy running around with kids and taking care of them 24/3.. especially when they need special care and attention.

Well, being a photographer can be quite lonely too.. when u are not involved in the FUN and having to take the FUN shots.. i learnt to play with different angle of taking photo and the speed of the shutter.. not only that, capturing the kids' smile is worth everything in the camp i guess. i m touched to see even the guy befrienders, their caring acts and patience towards the kids..

really hope i gt the chance to be ONE next year..

Singapore Sports School has gt nice hostels for us to stay during the camp.. wah i mus say they gt v good environment for the sports students.. the swimming pool, stadium, field, dining hall..i see students training every morning in the pool, feel like joining them.. lol.. my photographic skill stil can make it.. haha..

These are the food we ordered. mine's Rosstiserie chicken..tasted really nice..
Their seats are v bouncy and comfortable too with wallpaper of new york lifestyle..
feel as if u were dining in new york loh.. their layout is good too with cute so called "cubicle" to dine inside...recommend to fwens out there..

After that.. me and i ling went to queue for the donuts at raffles city.. donut factory..

we queue for 3 hours b4 getting our donuts.. cos we are the FREE`EST person in the world you see.. anyway they arent that fantastic.. too SWEET.. not worth the wait..

Last day @ Robinsons

Though it's jus a 9 days part time job.. but i made many fwens there.. and the last day, b4 i end work.. i alr feel quite down.. haha..the part timers there and staffs are all so nice!
It's busy , but we really help one another.. that's wat i wan to see in a job.. regardless of the tough work.. its the people in there that motivates me i guess.. so SAD but i very thick-skinned.. go around asking them for their contacts.. lol..

most of them are poly students and ITE students, all jus graduated.. looking for permanent job like me.. haha..and i still ask them to go for part time job together again next time..

i better pray i got a job with NICE pp in there... wait long long.. cant wait for my pay!!!

2nd day @ robinsons

i thought i could have the time to see nice clothes there..

2nd day, b4 coming to work, i feel so sian but now i know abit more on the layout of the department, so nt so bad.. but thinking of the crowd and the hanging, i alr SIAN JI PUA...
but hey i reported to work and saw an old lady at the fitting room, one of the staffs, she wil be helping me haha.. i learnt that she's one of the senior staff, WOW...she can really hang clothes fast and she also taught me alot.. wah.. so honoured to work with her, she's a nice lady..
feel less stressful & more efficent with her around..
yesterday the first day of sale is her off day.. haha nw she's back.. plew.. no wonder i was thinking, they mus be mad to put me alone at the fitting room... so busy..

my body aching.. stood the whole day.. i cant be compared to that old lady.. she's in her sixties and she moved faster than me.. she alr worked for 30 years in robinsons.. me only 2 days.. haha.
busy busy.. but the staffs there are really nice.. and i knew i can catch more glimpses of the nice clothes, anyway no money to buy them yet..lol.

1st day @ Robinsons

long time no blog.. busy with work, imagine coming home late at night everyday at abt 12 plus..

wAH quite excited to work in retail industry, can learn how the organization works..
anyway first day of work, made some fwens b4 i know i belong to the ladies department.. i was allocated to one of the fitting rooms in ladies department. really feel so lost, i was thrown there alone and customer started flowing in cos it's the first day of sale.. i have to took out their hangers and hang the unwanted clothes..
wah i was shocked by the crowd and the rest of the staff were also busy.. no choice i have to hang the clothes faster and distributed them back to their respective brands.. sian..

i hang and hang and hang, but the clothes gets more and more, without me realizing by 4pm, my place was piled up with mountain of clothes.. i panicked siah.. lol.. , another sian thing, its that i hav to waste time putting back the clothes after hanging, NOT EASY looking for them cos i wasnt familiar.. so in the end, i didnt waste time lookin,i jus throw them to the department and run back to the fitting room again.. i mus have looked like a mad woman that day, but heck care dube....

it's funny, remember i need to took out hanger at the same time too b4 the customer went in to try.. haha i started pulling the hanger fr the dresses and some gt tangled up with the embroidery.. ai yoh.. one of the tai tai asked me to be more gentle with the clothes... haha but i HECK again... really no time.., i thought robinsons actually employed me to destroy their clothes there.. haha.. i was the only one there, hanging the clothes like robot, non stopped for 8 hours.. only gt 1 hour break for lunch and dinner..
Really no license in hanging clothes, like those evening gown blah blah.. many kinds.. they still looked messy after hanging but i HECK..

those clothes were expensive i realized after awhile, all above hundreds dollars (branded ones i guess).. and yet i treated them like thrash.. haha.. i remember a gown which cost 699 bucks.. and i jus threw it among the pile of clothes.. one of the staffs saw it and quickly asked me to hang that first.. hee..

its really v crowded.. till 10pm i stil have piles of clothes.. wah my first day and i kind of gotta shocked.. haha.. i did OT in the end, mus finished hanging and distributed them back so i left at 1130pm.. heng those staffs come and helped me..if nt i can hang until tml morning..
those customers also keep staring at me too, seeing the way i hanged those classy clothes..think they also sian ji pua...TRY & DUN BUY... haha really HECK LA.. damn tired that day...

haha seriously i dun think looks like a pic taken in chalet.. looks like one of the hotel rooms.. i guess this's one of the cosiest chalet i went for.. jus playin mahjong the whole day..No SWEAT!

Wow.. bet all of u have seen these realistic plastic food display.. i jus find them so tempting, especially those dessert drinks at the bottom.. those replica food artists are really good at it. wonder where are those plastic food made from? Japan? most likely.. singapore should also have replica food artist, should be able to earn money since those plastic food discoloured over the years too.. raw plastic cheap anyway.. should be able to earn money as a replica food artist. interested to know how to make them.. hee..sometimes whenever i saw those cute design, fashion accessories like those plastic earrings... i guess it would be fun to design all these things.. where to go find all these factories making those..? china?? haiz really a frog in the well.. quick HOP out..haha.. there's one curry rice bento on the display, with the curry flowing out from the plate, it really looks real man..

yeah thats the one i like.. with a cake on top of the ice cream... hey before entering the restaurant, customers already had an expectation for the food display, so they better make it similar like those plastic food display.. if not.. wat.. SIAN ji pua i guess.. this restaurant is found at the CENTRAL level 2... oh gosh i would love to go JApan one day..

well, the food for steamboat arnt that nice, unless you know how to cook it with good control of heat, if nt you can get cancer eating those charred food.. but its the way to have fun while eating. Rite?? since it's only 12bucks for this steamboat buffet.. but the tom yam soup base is too salty.

Swim Swim Swim

yeah i guess i hav nt swim for abt 2 years.. really so slack.
Decided to go for a swim. so didnt go KTV.. haha..anyway no money..

Can you imagine a 100m pool.. and i only managed to swim 10 laps (1 lap = 200m) at one go, thats only 2km. and i took abt 50mins. thats damn slow.. haha.. but cant force it through since i hav nt swim for 2 years. mus really go often now..

I received a letter from Republic of Singapore Navy to go for briefing session,...Ai yoh i really dun think i am cut out to be an OFFICER lor (they always gt a serious look and a very ZAI body which i dun have both..haha.. but i quite like their working area and style.. going out to sea and handling the battling technology.. actually i m wondering beside training and operation mission, wat else do they do..

haha i m really still thinkin wat to do.. my career. the first job is v important. Dube..
initially wanted v much to be police woman cos i took forensic sci, sometime i really wish i m a guy.. haha to go through national service. to be able to appreciate the honour to serve the country.. ai yoh.. i mus be siao..

teach?? i dun really like kids lei though i can get along with them.. but i would love to be a choir teacher.. haha..

haiz.. if none, i would also wan to go into semiconductor industry..

Johor bahru

It's been so warm these days...

Haha went JB with grandpa and aunties on monday.. I love to go JB cos it's really cheap to buy things over there.. and NICE FOOD too.. As usual, ah gong drove us to the usual lane to eat the famous mee hoon kueh.. one big bowl for only 3.50Rm.. wah and it's a really BIG one.
After that, ah gong decided to drive us to a new hang out to shop, somewhere at Seri Alam, guess wat, he actually lost his way and we happily sat in his car speeding along the johor expressway under the scorching sun.. it took him abt an hour to find his way, until we decided to go to the usual place at pasir gudang (Jusco) to shop. i think if I were to be the driver, i wil sweat in the car, NOT becos of the sun, but the big lorries speedin beside me.. it's really dangerous to drive in malaysia and you have to be a damn ZAi driver.

While shopping, i came across a pet shop, they are selling monkeys and puppies, SO POOR things.. i saw the baby monkey cooping up in the cage, it seems cold with barely enough hair in the air-conditioned shopping mall. the puppies are better but they have hardly enough space to move about.. i went over to sayang them but was stopped by my aunt. She warned me abt the viruses carried in them.. Ai yoh, if i got money, i will buy the monkey and let it off in the jungle in malaysia, provided i know the way around.. so sick to see them selling those animals, and at least provide them a cosier space while waiting for buyers.. or maybe i shouldnt buy cos if there's no demand, it wil jus stopped.. RUN AWAY! MONKEYS...

enough of that, the kueh bahulu over there is rather nice, 50 pieces for 10RM. my mum and aunt have a great time buying and buying.. think thats the only thing that would thrill housewives.. within an hour. they are alr pilling up the trolley. and i have to be their maid, helpin them to carry. haha... NEXT my favourite place.. their PASAR MALAM over there, it opened at 5pm til night.. i believed it's like their wet market over there.. they sell groceries along the roadside, and it stretches at abt 1 Km.. with many things such as clothes and foods. I love the penang laksa and chendol over there.

and we are pilling up the stuff in the car. it's full.. and heavy, the car would scratch the hump whenever we went past it..

A taste of muddy mudpie

Woo hoo!! Finally gt a taste of this heavenly Muddy Mudpie fr Coffee Club express.. hee recommended by MZ.. 7bucks for such huge piece sinking in the sinful chocolatey syrup. this fantastic mudpie has got 2 flavours with coffee on top and chocolate at the bottom.. woo la la.. final topping with generous sprinkle of cocoa powder.. the base is made of digestive biscuits (both thumbs up).. again very chocolatey.. BUT I Like IT!

Before that, went for a short interview as temp sales associate at Robinsons.. yeah gt the job but only for a week. better than nothing... still dunnno wat perm job to find.. so FAN!
went shopping with Mz for formal clothes at G2000, caught some nice formal clothes, actually nt that nice.. formal clothes are all the same. LOL!

Oh i happen to see HAJI LANE on a show.. where the hell izzit? wanna go there & explore..
